How to Jump Start a Car Battery

A dead car battery can leave you stranded—unless you know how to jumpstart a car. This skill can get you out of a tight spot and back on the road to your nearest service station.

In this video, you can see a demonstration of the proper way to jumpstart a car. Always connect the red cable to the red, positive terminal on a vehicle first. Remember to connect the black cable to the negative terminal on the good car’s battery. Don’t let the ends of the cables touch to avoid a shock. For the full procedure, watch this video.
